Material Description Page

We have four types of media you can have your backdrops printed on:

Type 1: Presentation Paper

This material is best used for proofing, temporary or mockup installations. This is a 36lbs matte finish paper product NOT intended for long term or permanent or outdoor installations. Best installed with "paper cement", velcro, double side tape or mechanical fasteners such as staples or tacks. Liquid adhesives and spray adhesives may cause bubbling and creasing of the paper. if directions are not followed EXACTLY as manufacture instructs. Please see our section on Installation Tips & Techniques.

Type 2: Polypropylene Film

A water proof, high resolution, photo quality matte finished film with a protective non glare laminate on the face. This material is typically used in high-end graphics displays and advertising at upscale retail stores and trade show booth displays. This is for long term permanent installation indoors. Best installed with a double side tape or vinyl compatible wallpaper paste. Other liquid adhesives and spray adhesives cause bubbling if directions are not followed EXACTLY as manufacture instructs. Please see our section on Installation Tips & Techniques.

Type 3: Polypropylene Peel & Stick (Self Adhesive) Film

Identical to Type 2 above but with an added self adhesive or "peel & stick" backing.  Coat all latex paint with a 100% acrylic paint or primer or you will have bubbles or wrinkles and the backdrop may not stick properly. Please see our section on Installation Tips & Techniques.

Type 4: Vinyl Non Adhesive.

A water proof, high resolution, photo quality matte finished vinyl with a protective non glare UV inhibiting laminate overcoat. This material is typically used in high-end sign and graphics displays and banner. This is for long term permanent installation outdoor or indoors in non ideal conditions such as garden railroads, garages, unfinished basements, attics and non climate controlled areas. Best installed with a double side tape, velcro, mechanical fasteners or vinyl compatible wallpaper paste. Other liquid adhesives and spray adhesives may cause bubbling if directions are not followed EXACTLY as manufacture instructs. Mechanical fasteners are recommended for outdoor use. Please see our section on Installation Tips & Techniques.
